PARKFIELD House in Charville Lane West, Hillingdon, opened its doors to the public on Saturday to mark National Care Home Open Day.
This year, it coincided with the Queen’s birthday, so staff pulled out all the stops.
The Mayor of Hillingdon, Cllr Carol Melvin, opened the refurbished lounge and was given a tour by manager Wendy Bristow.

This year’s theme was linking communities, and the mayor was joined by teachers and students from Park Academy, librarian Bernie from Charville Lane library and community police officers.
Live music, tap dancing and a buffet rounded off proceedings.
