IF you were inspired by the runners at this year’s London Marathon, then take your place in the Stockley Park 10K.
The race takes place on May 20, when the Mayor of Hillingdon will get the runners started at 10.30am. This year’s event is a special milestone, marking the 10th year for the race on the leafy business and country park.
To celebrate, Stockley Park has teamed up with charity partner YMCA to support its Job Club. Funds raised from the race will go towards supporting young people seeking employment, training, help with CVs, job applications, plus travel and clothing for interviews.
Around 400 entrants are expected to take part in the race. The runners will be led through a warm-up and cool down by Nuffield Health Club, while energy drinks from Lucozade Ribena Suntory will give the runners a much-needed boost.

Each entrant will also receive a goodie bag from SPECL, which includes branded T-shirt, branded water bottle, drawstring bag and wrist band.
Live music is being provided by the CSI Steel Band and the race village will be bursting at the seams with activities for runners and supporters alike.
There are still a few places available in the Stockley Park 10K. If you would like to run on May 20, email ann_lewis@stockleypark.co.uk
