A care home is inviting the community to join them for a “right Royal knees up” to celebrate an historic wedding.

Buchanan Court on Sudbury Hill in Harrow, will host people from the community to mark the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, on May 19.

The Care UK home will be decorated with Union Jack bunting and a special British tea party will be on offer. Doors open at 2pm.

Hillingdon Times:

Zena Khudawes, customer relations manager at Buchanan Court, said: “We were all so excited when we heard there was to be another Royal wedding, and knew we had to do something to celebrate.

“Here at Buchanan Court, many of the residents have fond memories of the Royal Family and the many weddings and celebrations over the years, so this is a brilliant opportunity to reminisce and share stories from the past.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming the people of Harrow to the home to toast the happy couple on what promises to be a wonderful day of celebrations.”

Guests are invited to raise a glass with residents and staff at the home and to find out more about Buchanan Court during their visit.
