Nurseries have helped raise money for a playgroup for children with disabilities as part of its 12th birthday.
Playskill, in Gammons Lane, Watford, is running #redforplayskill campaign so it can open a new, free specialist playground for children with disabilities.
Cassiobury Infant & Nursery School, St Luke's Pre-school, Breakspear School and Colnbrook School have supported the cause.
The community held a number of coffee mornings, which raised £1,500.
Playskill fundraiser Sneha Blair, 39, said: “The best gift we can get to celebrate this year is to be able to open our sixth free specialist playgroup.
“There is an urgent need to start a new group to help those currently on the growing waiting list."
The money was raised by nurseries; Cassiobury Infant & Nursery School, St Luke's Pre-school, Breakspear School and Colnbrook Schools and also raised by coffee and cake mornings hosted in the community.
So far the charity has raised around £1,500.
According to the charity, the money will allow the charity to fund physiotherapists, occupational therapists and speech & language therapists.
Ms Blair added: “This will enable more children with physical disability or delay to benefit from vital specialist therapy and support.
“Helping them gain skills for life, and reach their true potential.
“It will also enable families to access valuable practical and emotional support, to help reduce the stress and isolation they often experience.”
