AN ELDERLY woman was rescued from a blaze in a flat during the early hours Tuesday morning (August 21).
Four fire engines were called to Constable Close, Hayes, with one woman taken to hospital, suffering smoke inhalation.
It is believed to have started in the bedroom of the five-room ground floor flat at around 4.30am, however its cause is still under investigation.
