YOUNG people in Hillingdon are invited to Skate Jam events on Thursday, August 30, at Fassnidge Park, Uxbridge, and the following day at Field End Recreation Ground, South Ruislip, to celebrate the expansion of skate parks in the borough.
The council has invested more than £200,000 in a new park at Field End following a request from a skate group and has refurbished the existing park at Fassnidge.
The opening events will feature demonstrations from UK professional BMX and skateboard riders, and youngsters can enjoy free group coaching sessions.
