AN Uxbridge worker helped at the Anniversary Games in Stirling as Special Olympics GB marked its 40th anniversary last week.
SOGB provides year-round sports training and competition opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities.
A total of 15 volunteers from Coca-Cola European Partners supported the athletes. Each brought specialist skills as well as a passion for the cause.

Michelle Johns O’Brien, from the firm’s business HQ in Bakers Road, Uxbridge, acted as a backstage runner for the opening ceremony and guided the athletes to and from their different competitions.
She also spent a day at the cycling, signalling the start and end of each race, and cheering on the athletes from the track – her highlight of the Games.
In total, 1,400 athletes took part in the in swimming, badminton, boccia, table tennis and athletics.
