PUPILS at Northwood College for Girls were celebrating with more than 70% of the GCSE results achieving A*-A or 9-7 grades.
Head teacher Zara Hubble said: “Almost 90% of our grades were A*-B or 9-6. More than half of our young women achieved seven or more A*-A or 9-7 grades.

Claire Gordon-Brown (pictured with her mother and sister) achieved 3A*s, six grade 9s and one grade 8.
Her mother said: “When Claire arrived she was such a shy little girl, she used to hide in the corner and she now she has so much confidence. Her amazing teachers have enabled her to truly shine.”
