Armed police found a “cannabis farm” after responding to calls a man was seen carrying a sword into a house.
Hertfordshire Constabulary were called at 4.55pm yesterday with reports a man was seen going into a property in Springwell Avenue in Mill End with a weapon.
Armed officers from Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire together with a dog unit went to the scene.
Upon arrival, police searched the premises and discovered a cannabis farm.
The sword was found in a neighbour’s front garden.
A 56-year-old man from Rickmansworth has been arrested on suspicion of production or being concerned in the production of cannabis. He remains in police custody.
Police said enquiries are ongoing and the man seen carrying the sword has still not been traced.
