Phil and Veronica Rumsey have been planning this event since May. Every man mentioned on the village war memorial has his own dedicated poppy in the High Street.
Residents have been asked to buy a lamp-post poppy in memory of a loved one for the church railings.
Pritpal Kaur, 67, has knitted handmade poppies to give out on the day.
The planting of the crosses will include an address from the Vicar of St. Mary’s, as well as songs from the Harmondsworth Primary School.
To close the event, the church bells will be rung. No church bells were rung during WW1. Ringing was resumed on November 11, 1918.
