A TWO-year-old crossbreed, who came through the doors of Dogs Trust West London in July last year, has secured a new home after 473 days.

Bailey rarely trusted new people, but her new owner, Rosie Hardie from Reading, made a number of trips to the rehoming centre to begin building a bond with her.

She said: “Bailey is fantastic. She knows basic commands and, once she knows you, is eager to learn more. Her love of treats will help us continue with her training.

“She’s house-trained and is capable of learning lots more. I have no idea how she was passed by for such a long time.”

Rehoming centre manager Richard Moore added: “It’s high time Bailey found her special someone. She’s been here for more than a year and, while we’ll miss her terribly, especially her best friends, canine carers Abbie and Cassie, we couldn’t be happier for her!”
