A new pizza chain is opening on Thursday and all the money it makes on launch day will be donated to a charity fighting to stay open.

MOD Pizza is the latest brand to open at the new intu development and to celebrate the opening, it will also be giving away the first 50 pizzas for free.

Ten people will also win a prize of free pizza for a year.

MOD Pizza will also be raising money for Signpost, a charity based in Watford that works with young people who are facing mental health issues. The charity needs to raise £20,000 by the end of November to stay alive until the end of the year.

The newest MOD joins outlets in Borehamwood, London, Leeds, Nottingham, Gateshead, and Romford.

Every pizza is made on demand, hence the name ‘MOD’ for one price only of £7.87.

MOD Pizza is situated next door to Burger King in the High Street.

It will open at midday on Thursday with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The first 50 people in line will be given a free pizza.
