A primary school need your votes to stand a chance of winning a big cash prize which will help boost the technology for the pupils.

St Paul’s CofE primary school in Chipperfield has applied for the Aviva Community Fund but won’t win it without community support.

The school has received 5,000 votes to date but has dropped back having led the leader board.

The PTA at the school run a year-round programme to raise money for the school but fundraisers say IT replacement has become so urgent that they have had to come up with alternative methods to find the cash.

The Aviva fund offers a chance to win between £5,000 and £10,000.

The schools needs at least 3,000 more votes. People have ten votes and they can all be used on the same school.

The new technology would not only benefit the schoolchildren but it will allow community education workshops for people outside the school too.

Voting closes on November 20.
