A care home is celebrating the “excellent” care provided to its residents with a number of its staff receiving long-service awards.

More than 80 people attended a special dinner at the Crowne Plaza Marlow to celebrate the long services of staff at Bradbury House, an Abbeyfield residential care home in Beaconsfield.

Hosted by the trustees of Bradbury House, the event saw 36 staff members receiving awards for their lengthy service by Bradbury House president Jenefer Farncombe.

All staff receiving the award have been with the care home for 10 years or more. Eighteen members have been with the home for 15 years or more and four have enjoyed 20 years of service.

Deputy manager Sue Brown said: “In a world where loyalty and commitment is in short supply, Bradbury House was delighted to celebrate the 36 members of the team who between them have clocked up over 520 years of service. “We had a lovely evening celebrating our long service, I am privileged to be part of a team of such dedicated staff, who really care.”

“I have worked at Bradbury House for 22 years as part of the management team and was so proud to hear that collectively the management team of four have served for 80 years. It really is a special place to work.”
