A 13-year-old boy was approached by a strange man on his way home from school.

Police received reports of a schoolboy being offered a lift by a man in a white Transit van in Scots Hill, Croxley Green at around 3.55pm on Wednesday.

Hertfordshire Constabulary said the boy refused and walked away and at no point did the man attempt to grab or touch him.

The man is described as white, aged 20-25 and wearing a green camouflage jacket, dark tracksuit bottoms and grey and white Nike trainers.

The local Safer Neighbourhood Team are making ongoing enquiries.
