A “bubbly” five-year-old will star on our television screens when she appears in an award-winning Channel 4 programme.

Tilly-Marie Bradford, from Garston, will appear in two episodes of The Secret Life of 4 and 5 Year Olds later this month.

Tilly, a pupil at Kingsway Infants, was filmed alongside nine other children over a two-week period on a set in London.

A keen dancer and swimmer, Tilly’s mother Danielle, said she jumped at the opportunity to allow her “bold” daughter to be involved but said when she watched the footage back, she saw Tilly was a lot more timid than she expected.

Hillingdon Times:

Ms Bradford said: “The school invited us to apply and I thought Tilly was perfect for the show. So we sent a video and then we were called into London for a play day to see how she would respond on camera. Around 6,000 children applied and Tilly was one of just ten to be chosen.

“Her personality is quite big and she is chatty but she was quite timid when it came to filming. But I think she learnt so much and she has made lots of friends.”

The award-winning show says it lifts the lid on the drama of life in the playground.

Tilly will feature in episodes on Channel 4 at 8pm on January 24 and January 31.
