GILL Prett is celebrating 10 years working at Dogs Trust West London in Harefield as receptionist.
Having lost her beloved Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross, called Boo, the year before, she was delighted she would still be surrounded by dogs.
She said: “I have always wanted to work in animal welfare, as it is a very strong passion of mine. When I lost Boo it was very difficult and this job meant I could still get my daily dose of doggie cuddles.
“I am also fortunate to occasionally foster some of our dogs, who may need a little time away from kennels, which makes my job even more rewarding.”

Rehoming centre manager Richard Moore said: “Gill is an integral part of the team.
"For the last decade she has helped to welcome visitors through our doors, consoled those that have sadly had to hand over their dogs, and waved off our residents when they find their special someone. We’re so grateful for all she does!”
