Quiz night to help fund local cancer scanners and life changing medical research

A QUIZ night in aid of a charity supporting neighoouring people affected by cancer and other serious conditions will take place on March 1.

The quiz night, at Rickmansworth Golf Club will help fund new MRI, CT and PET-CT scanners at Paul Strickland Scanner Centre in Mount Vernon Hospital, as well as paying for life-changing medical research at the centre.

Paul Strickland is an independent medical charity. Staff use the scanners to help diagnose and monitor cancer and other serious conditions and to undertake research.

Claire Strickland, the charity’s chief executive, said: “This should be a great night out, with great team and individual prizes, plus a raffle.

“High-quality scanners and medical research save and improve the lives of people affected by cancer and other serious conditions.

The quiz night will take place at The Fairway Inn, Rickmansworth GC on March 1 at 7.30pm. Entry fee is £15 per person (six per team), including supper. Cash bar, over-18s only.
