A quiz night will help pay for potentially life-saving scanning equipment for cancer patients.

Rickmansworth golf club's Fairway Inn will host the evening to help fund new MRI, CT and PET-CT scanners at the Paul Strickland Scanner Centre at Mount Vernon Hospital in Northwood.

Paul Strickland is a special medical imaging centres that provides scans to local people which are used to diagnose and monitor serious conditions and undertake medical research.

The charity's chief executive, Claire Strickland, said: “High quality scanners and medical research save and improve the lives of people affected by cancer and other serious conditions.

"By joining us for the quiz night you’re supporting local people in the community who are facing one of the biggest challenges of their lives so please come along and support them.

“We’re very grateful to the staff at The Fairway Inn at Rickmansworth Golf Club, for their support.”

The quiz night will take place at The Fairway Inn on March 1 at 7.30pm. To book tickets visit www.scannercentre.eventbrite.com or call 01923 886315 during office hours.
