An important country lane is completely shut for the next two weeks.

Redhall Lane in Chandlers Cross is closed between the junctions of Chandlers Lane and Sarratt Road from today until March 15 and the road will be shut day and night.

Ringway is carrying out drainage work.

Drivers are being officially diverted through Sarratt, Belsize, and Chipperfield. Signs are in place.

Motorists should also be aware Langley Road in Chipperfield is closed from today until Friday between the hours of 9.30am-4pm for repairs.

Elsewhere in the coming days in the area, Watford Road, a section of Baldwins Lane, Ascot Road, and a section of Rickmansworth Road, near Croxley Green, will be shut for a number of nights for road resurfacing.

The closure comes into force on March 11 and will run every night between 8pm and 5am until March 23. There will be no access to the roundabout by Watford and Croxley business parks.

The official diversion between Rickmansworth and Watford is a long-winded one – via South Oxhey, Eastbury, Northwood, and Batchworth Heath.
