PASTICHE Musical Theatre company, based in Hillingdon, returns to the Compass Theatre, Ickenham, this month with a new production of Dolly Parton’s and Patricia Resnick’s Broadway hit, 9 to 5 – The Musical.

Based on the hit movie of the same name, three women decide enough is enough and take revenge on their nasty and sexist boss, making their workplace and the lives of their colleagues a better place.

The first Pastiche production was in January 1997 when Jean Hobson and Jean George decided to create a one-off production of Sandy Wilson’s The Boy Friend, in aid of the British Heart Foundation.

It encouraged the company to stage another production, Salad Days, in 1998 and ever since it has staged a full musical and a concert each year with the proceeds going to a charity selected by the cast.

Pastiche has raised more than£58,000 for 30 different causes, including Hillingdon MIND, Hillingdon Hospital’s Peter Pan Ward, Home Start Hillingdon, Michael Sobell Hospice and Meadow High School.

Proceeds from 9 to 5 will go to Little Hearts Matter, dedicated to supporting children (and their families) affected by the diagnosis of a single ventricle heart condition.

Tickets for the production, from March 27-30, are on sale at £14 (£12 concessions) via the box office at 01753 424163 or 07598 839743, or you can email tickets@pastichemusicaltheatre.com
