PAUL Strickland Scanner Centre at Mount Vernon Hospital, Northwood, has had the seal of approval from the health watchdog following a recent inspection.

An unannounced visit by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) assessed care at the centre and looked at whether the service is safe, responsive, well-led and caring.

Inspectors rated the centre as “good” across the board.

The centre is an independent medical charity and receives no government funding. Last year, the charity provided nearly 18,000 life-changing CT, MRI and PET-CT scans.
