A Rickmansworth man is helping out a salon by sweeping up hair for an East London charity.

David Holdstock, 54 is spending a day working at Hob Hair Salons as a junior to help raise funds for charity.

David, who is running the London Marathon at the end of April to raise money for the Margaret Centre Hospice at Whipps Cross Hospital will spend April 6 looking after clients, making tea and sweeping up.

David Holdstock said: “I am running the London Marathon in my dad’s memory to raise money for the amazing nurses, doctors and support staff who provided such wonderful care to my dad and support to our family.

“I would like to thank all the team at Hob Hair Salon in Rickmansworth for supporting me.”

David, who works in local government lost his dad, Alfred in 2017.

Natasha Knight, Manager of Hob Salons in Rickmansworth said: “Hob Salons is delighted to be supporting David, one of our regular clients, to help raise funds for this amazing cause.”

“We’ll certainly work him hard during his time with us.”
