Drivers continue to face major delays this morning due to temporary lights.
Motorists have been stuck in queues for more than 40 minutes approaching the crossroads in the middle of Elstree with delays on all routes.
Roadworks are in place due to a sewer failure and the four-way lights could be in place until the end of the month.
What has made matters worse is the lights have reportedly not been working properly which has only added to the delays.

A workman appears to be on site fixing the lights – although even when they are fixed, the four way lights will continue to cause traffic problems.
Drivers heading along Barnet Lane from Borehamwood and Elstree Hill between Allum Lane and the crossroads are facing the worst of the queues.
