CAMPAIGNERS will gather at Northwood on Tuesday to mark the 70th anniversary of NATO, which has its London HQ in Sandy Road.

Protesters will carry No To NATO placards and a letter will be delivered, calling for the organisation to be disbanded, highlighting concerns about its aggressive role on the world stage.

The event, called by the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament and Stop the War Coalition, will take place between 11am and noon.

The anniversary comes ahead of a NATO summit in London in December, when Donald Trump is expected to attend.
