AUTISM with Attitude, the ground-breaking street dance group from Hillingdon Manor School, will be showcasing their moves at Apple’s flagship store in Covent Garden on Friday, 5.30pm.
It is part of World Autism Awareness Week and the dance troupe will be joined by performers from Autism’s Got Talent, the show created by Anna Kennedy to raise public awareness of the condition.
AWA was formed in 2013 at Hillingdon Manor School in Harlington Road, part of Outcomes First Group, which provides specialist education and support to pupils aged 3-19 with autism.
The dancers have been successful at international mainstream competitions, while also becoming ambassadors for autism.
Jonathan Baron, AWA’s teacher, first introduced dance classes to Hillingdon Manor six years ago.
