The results are in for one of the country's oldest gardening societies competitions.

The Abbots Langley Garden Society’s competition saw dozens of people attend this years Spring Show – with 68 entries into the society’s photographic competition alone.

Despite the weather and fears for the quality of flowers entered the competition held at The Henderson Hall.

Children were also encouraged to come along and were given an Easter Egg as a thank you present.

A member of the society, Pamla Cotton, said: “We thought we would not have many daffodils in the show this year as the warm weather brought the flowering time forward, but we were not disappointed.

“Thank you, Mum’s, Dad’s and Grandparents, for encouraging your youngsters in taking part in our show.”
