AniMalcolm the Musical

Malcolm doesn’t like animals, which is a problem because his family love them, in fact, they’re wild about them. Their house is full of pets of all shapes and sizes, but what it’s not full of is stuff Malcolm likes. Such as the laptop he wanted for his birthday. The only bright spot on the horizon is the Year Six school trip, which Malcolm never thought his parents would pay for. And yet there he is, on the bus, heading to… a farm. What follows is a school trip like no other, where Malcolm begins to understand animals more deeply than anyone. But will he end up the same as before?

Ballet Black Double Bill

Celebrating their eighteenth year, there’s always excitement when Ballet Black take to the stage. Their popular programme contrasts dramatic and inventive storytelling in a lively showcase of modern ballets. This performance features Ingoma (meaning song) a specially commissioned piece by company dancer and choreographer Mthuthuzeli November, which imagines the struggles of black South African miners in 1946. A fusion of ballet, African dance and singing, it portrays a milestone in the country’s history. In addition, there will be a light-hearted narrative ballet by renowned choreographer Luca Silvestrini.

Chandos Encore

Chandos Art and Crafts are pleased to announce they will be returning to Bushey Museum for their latest exhibition. Chandos Encore is to be staged in the Art Gallery at the Museum in Rudolph Road this spring and summer. There will be a variety of paintings, including some local scenes, which will showcase the different styles of the artist members, while the craft workers will display their hand built ceramics, jewellery, wood turning, fused and leaded glass and textiles. All work will be for sale. Chandos Art and Crafts are a group of men and women who come together to exhibit their high standard work in the local area. This will be their fifth exhibition at Bushey Museum.
