A BUDGERIGAR gave a Hayes household a surprise when they found her sitting on the branch of a tree in their back garden.
The bird has no identification and, keen to reunite her with her owner, the RSPCA is appealing for information.
RSPCA Inspector Jo Bowling said: “She was found at a home in Judge Heath Lane. The householders managed to bring her inside before calling us.

“Other than missing some tail feathers, the bird seems to be unharmed. We’re sure someone nearby must be missing her. If you know anything, please call us on 0300 123 8018.”
The RSPCA urges people to take steps to make sure their pet birds can be positively identified, with a microchip or closed ring.
