Clubbers in Watford have a new place to party after a nightclub opened.

Popworld opened its doors in The Parade after an investment of nearly £200,000 with singing twins, The Cheeky Girls, on hand to celebrate the launch night.

Billed as the “perfect girl’s night out”, partygoers can expect colourful lighting and dance the night away to some of the best pop tunes in town.

Unique artwork covers the walls of the club and there are a number of VIP seating booths which have been created in the form of lips and finished in bright pink and purple vinyl fabric.

Popworld, which has clubs in Manchester, Leeds, and Liverpool, will be open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, from 8pm-2.30am.

Rebecca Shaw, deputy manager at Popworld Watford, said: “We are so excited to bring Popworld to Watford. The brand-new design is adorned in vivid and intense colour – providing a very lively and fun environment to celebrate all-things pop. We can’t wait to show off our new venue and provide great nights out for all.”
