Congratulations to Herts County Council for reducing lighting bills by £1.87 million with the installation of LED lamps!
However, they save money at the expense of quality lighting, which previous lamps provided. The result is patchy lighting - the area under the lamp is very well lit, but other areas between lamps are in almost complete darkness.
My street has taken on the appearance of black holes, giving a rather ghostly effect.
This lighting should illuminate the whole street, not parts of it.
Where is the quality control?
