The Seven pub, formerly The Seven Balls, has reopened after a year-long closure

to refurbish its premises

.

Originally built in the seventeenth century, the pub has undergone a £500,000 transformation, retaining its character and original features such as beams and open fires, while making it more comfortable and contemporary.

The newly refurbished space has an alfresco area, and Sky and BT Sports with indoor and outdoor screens for sports fans.

There will be a celebration party on June 29.

MP for Harrow East Bob Blackman pulled the first pint there to toast the refurbishment.

He said: “Good pubs have an important social role to play and it’s great to see such a significant and prominent Harrow pub brought back to life and preserved for future generations. Hundreds of people pass by the pub every day and the refurbishment has been completed to an exceptional standard. I wish Sunny and his team every success.”

Located in Kenton Lane, Harrow, the refurbishment project has seen ten new jobs created, including The Seven’s new operator, local resident Sunny Samani.

Star Pubs & Bars area manager Neil Williams: “The Seven’s heritage has meant planning has taken time - we hope local residents feel it’s worth the wait! We want The Seven to be an asset to Harrow. Sunny comes from the area and has worked in hospitality all his life so he’s ideally placed to make The Seven a place the whole community can enjoy again.”
