Wycombe District Council deals with thousands of planning applications every year.

They range from house owners wanting to build an extension to new homes, shops, businesses and even chopping down trees.

Here are five of the best projects announced from last week - the council will now consider whether each should go ahead.

1) Princes Gate, High Wycombe – Plans to build 39 new apartments on the site of the former JC and MP Smith Factory have been submitted.

Thirty of the new buildings will have two bedrooms and nine will have one bedroom. The plans also outline proposals for external parking for 40 cars, 11 motorcycles, 60 bicycles, bin store and associated landscaping.

2) 74 Booker Lane, High Wycombe – A proposal has been submitted to change the use of the existing commercial garage on the site to a food preparation area.

The new site will service off-site weddings and functions, with the installation of an extractor.

3) 13 & 13A Spittal Street, Marlow – Plans to redesign and construct a new shopfront, with the subsequent removal of shutters at the front of the first floor.

4) Hawkins Farm, Frieth Road, Marlow – A prior notification application has been submitted for the erection of a shed on the farm. The new shed will contain, if approved, housing for sheep, animal feed and equipment storage.

5) 234 Totteridge Road, High Wycombe – Plans to change the current property on this site to form two two-bedroom flats have been submitted.
