Twenty charities received a share of £20,000 raised through Wycombe Lotto at the community fund’s second birthday celebrations last week.
Good causes including Wycombe Mind, High Wycombe Shopmobility, and the Wycombe Rent Deposit Guarantee Scheme scooped some cash donations on July 10.
Meanwhile, schools like Widmer End School Association, Friends of Chiltern Wood School and the Disraeli School and Children’s Centre have also benefitted, as have community groups such as Hazlemere Runners, Marlow Park Cricket Club and Totteridge Community Centre.
Cllr Graham Peart BEM, Wycombe District Council’s cabinet member for community, aided by chairman Cllr Paul Turner, presented the funding at the special event at Adams Park.
Cllr Peart said: “We are very grateful for the dedication of the charities participating in Wycombe Lotto, and to residents who show their support for these causes.”
