LONDON boroughs with the highest smoking-related hospital admissions are revealed in new data, with Ealing above average.
Hammersmith and Fulham was one of the two worst-performing boroughs with 2,037 admissions per 100,000 of the population.
The England average is 1.5% and many of the London boroughs are well above the UK average.
In fact, while smoking rates in the UK are declining, hospital admissions related to it are rising and there is a trend of cuts to stop-smoking services.
The British Lung Foundation found that the number of GP prescriptions for nicotine replacement therapy in England has fallen in the past decade by 75%.
