Two people have been arrested in Harrow for firearm offences
A man, 19, and female, 38, were arrested at a residential address in Stanmore on Monday (August 19) after detectives from the Northwest Proactive Team, Wembley, executed a firearms search warrant.
Two suspected handguns and ammunition were recovered at the premises during the search. The two were arrested for firearms offences.
They are currently held in custody at a north London police station.
DC Oliver Kotis, from the North West Command Unit, said: “This result highlights the efforts of local officers who have been working hard over the busy summer period to tackle violence and related crime.
“We will deal robustly with those who do cause disruption, carry weapons and pose a threat to the safety of others.”
He added: “The public have a huge part to play when it comes to preventing crime and protecting London’s communities. You can give information about crime that has been committed or potentially save a life by providing information about someone involved in violence, criminal gangs or who may be carrying a weapon.”
