A boy handed over his mobile phone after he was threatened by three teenagers near a secondary school.

The victim was walking along Horseshoe Lane near Frances Combe Academy in Garston at around 5pm on Tuesday August 6 when he was approached by a group of three boys.

They demanded his mobile phone and threatened him if he did not give it to them. The boy did as he was told and was able to leave unharmed.

The first suspect is described as black, around 16-years-old, around 5ft 9in tall, and of slim to average build. He wore all black clothing and had his hood up.

The second suspect is described as black, around 16-years-old, around 6ft tall and of slim to average build. He was wearing black clothing as well with his hood up. He was also riding a mountain bike.

The third suspect is described as Asian, around 16-years-old, around 5ft 10in tall, and of slim to average build. He was also wearing black with his hood up.

Police say they are keen to catch the suspects before they can strike again.

Police staff investigator Elaine Counsell, from the Watford local crime unit, said: "This was a scary ordeal for the victim.

"We hope to identify those who are responsible before they do this again. We therefore urge anyone who may have information about the incident – no matter how small – to come forward."
