A doughnut chain will be opening its second shop in Watford next month.

Watford's new Krispy Kreme store will open in Trade City, off Thomas Sawyer Way, on September 3 at 10 am.

The first three customers on opening day will receive vouchers, and the first dozen in the queue will win Krispy Kreme goodies.

Customers can also try their luck on the Doughnut Dip to win treats such as the firm's original glazed doughnuts.

The Trade City site will also cater for Krispy Kreme’s click and collect offering, allowing customers to select delicious doughnut dozens, bundles and celebration options online.

To celebrate the new store, Krispy Kreme will be giving people the chance to get their hands on complimentary doughnuts.

Craig Evans, the UK new store opening manager said: “Since we opened our Watford store at the intu centre three years ago, we’ve been overwhelmed by the love the town has shown us.

"It made it the perfect location to bring our factory and click and collect offerings too, especially as our new home in the Trade City will give us more flexibility to unveil some exiting new plans later in the year."
