A council has thanked its residents and staff after achieving the best recycling rates in the county.
Three Rivers District has topped the recycling rates in Hertfordshire and continues to improve with a rate of 63 per cent in 2018/19, up slightly from 62.4 per cent the previous year.
Cllr Phil Williams, lead member for environmental services and sustainability, said: “The council thanks all its residents for their continued efforts to recycle. A recycling rate of 63 per cent is a considerable achievement.’’
“Please carry on thinking about waste reduction, prevention and reuse. Keep recycling the right things, in the right way.”
