HILLINGDON children and young people are to benefit from £3.3m in government funds towards preventative mental health services.
A bid by national charity P3, in partnership with Hillingdon Clinical Commissioning Group, will redevelop the P3 Navigator Hub in Fairfield Road, Yiewsley, into a new Navigator Plus.
Navigator Plus will offer instant access to mental health and wellbeing support for those aged 13-25.
P3’s CEO Mark Simms said: “Children and young people experience so many pressures as they grow into adulthood—social, emotional, physical—that equipping them with effective tools to manage their own mental health has to be a priority.
“This is a service that will deliver a positive and meaningful impact.”
Dr Ian Goodman, chair of Hillingdon CCG, added: “We have long recognised the importance and benefits these services have for patients.”
