Two men seen breaking into a garage were scared off by a passer-by.

They were seen trying to get into a garage off Richfield Road in Bushey at around midday today by a resident who then called the police.

They gave the police the details of the vehicle they were travelling in and a description of the suspects.

A call was put out to officers in the Watford area and soon a vehicle matching the description was spotted in Grove Crescent, Croxley Green.

Two men were arrested on suspicion of burglary and the vehicle has been seized.

A search of the vehicle found suspected stolen tools.
