A WEEK on from the fatal stabbing of 22-year-old Osvaldo Carvalho at Ealing Common, detectives will be returning to the scene this evening (1) to appeal for witnesses to come forward.

Police were called at around 6pm on Tuesday (24) to West Lodge Avenue following reports of a stabbing.

Osvaldo, from Hanwell, lay injured and died at the scene from a stab wound.

It is believed he and two friends had arrived in the area by car and went to a small green, known as Twyford Crescent Gardens.

There was an altercation with another group of men which resulted in Osvaldo and his friends running away. Osvaldo was chased by the other group and suffered stab injuries.

Det Chief Insp Noel McHugh said: “It has only been seven days since Osvaldo had his life cruelly taken from him in the most brutal of ways.

“On Sunday, we charged three men with his murder but that doesn’t mean my investigation has concluded.
