A man was left unconscious after violence broke out in Watford High Street.
Police are appealing for witnesses to an incident which took place just after 3am on Saturday September 21.
It was reported that a dispute broke out between two men and one of them was punched in the face.
The injured man was knocked to the ground, landing on his head.
While the man lay unconscious on the ground, police say a further argument broke out between the man and a group of people who were with the man who was punched.
Police Constable Ashley Young, from the Stevenage Local Crime Unit, said: “Enquiries are ongoing, and we are looking for witnesses who may have any information that may help us with our investigation.
"If you were in the area at the time and believe you saw the incident take place, or you have any information, please contact us."

• A 25 year old man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH) in connection with the incident. He has been released under investigation whilst enquiries continue.
