WEST London Stand Up To Racism is holding a public meeting in Ealing next week.

It follows their protest outside North Ealing Tube station, where two Muslim women had been attacked.

The meeting, titled Resisting the Rise of the Racists and Fascists, will be held on Tuesday (8) 7.30-9.30pm in St Mary’s Church hall, St Mary’s Road, South Ealing.

It will be addressed by Nahella Ashraf, a long-standing activist who was once a victim of a racist attack in Hammersmith Broadway.

Others due to appear are Jenny Manson, co-chair of Jewish Voice For Labour, Nick Onley from Extinction Rebellion, and Eve Turner, chair of Ealing Trades Union Council.

The meeting will also discuss related issues, such as how to combat Islamophobia and anti-Semitism, rising knife crime, austerity and climate change.

It will also seek to build support for an international conference against racism and fascism being organised by Stand Up To Racism, on October 19 in central London.
