Runners ran along Abbots Langley to raise money raised money.
The 37th ‘Abbots Tough 10’ race where runners could take part in races with distances up to 6.2 miles took place on October 6.
Three Rivers Chairman, Paula Hiscocks started the four races with various distances, from toddlers running in the 1km race, with other races including 3km, 5km and 10km.
The race raised funds for various local charities and beneficiaries. Over the years the event has provided specialised equipment for the less mobile in the form of hoists, beds, wheelchairs and tricycles.
Special projects for schools and individual beneficiaries were also supported by the money raised.
Cllr Hiscocks said: “Running is a sport that that is accessible to all ages and so enjoyable with our marvellous countryside in Three Rivers.”
In the 10km course, runners went around Abbots Langley, Bedmond and Kings Langley before reaching the finish line.
The winner of the 10km course, Mark Lovatt finished the run in just 37 minutes and 26 seconds.
By the end of the races, Cllr Hiscocks handed out medals and trophies to the relevant participants.
