Cannabis worth an estimated £50,000 was recovered following a recent drug raid.

The raid just after 6am on October 4 at a property in Cezanne Road, Watford, saw more than 1,100 of suspected cannabis bags seized.

Two people were also arrested during the raid.

PC Hollie Taylor, from Watford’s Operation Scorpion team, said: “We were able to take action thanks to intelligence submitted to us by members of the public, who told us that they had witnessed suspicious activity linked to the address.

“Friday’s high-visibility action is just part of the work we are doing to tackle drug supply in Watford. Drugs can have a hugely detrimental effect on local communities as more often than not, they are pre-cursor to more violent and acquisitive crime.”

  • Rocci Farrugia, 37, of Cezanne Road, was charged with one count of possession of class B drugs with intent to supply. He was remanded in custody and is due to appear at St Albans Crown Court on November 4.
  • A woman, 28, from Watford, has been released under investigation following her arrest on suspicion of possession of class B drugs.
