A FREE social club for young women with a disability launched this week at the Acton Centre, operated by Everyone Active on behalf of Ealing Council.
Girls Win will run every Wednesday from 5-6.30pm in partnership with The Change Foundation.
It uses a goal-setting approach to sports and physical activities, to show young women how setting goals can help them be more positive about their future.
The club hopes to expand friendship circles and increase confidence by reducing a sense of social isolation.
Typical sports include table tennis, football and netball, as well as activities like dance and exercising to music.
The club will also offer opportunities like work placements and apprenticeships with The Change Foundation’s corporate partner, Investec.
