Police are investigating after a motorist drove the wrong way around a roundabout.
The incident - being treated as dangerous driving by the force - happened at the Newby West roundabout in Carlisle at about 1.50am last Saturday.
Eye witnesses reported a Vauxhall Corsa driving the wrong way around the roundabout at speed, narrowly avoiding crashing into a heavy goods vehicle.
Police would like to speak to the driver of the HGV - and any other witnesses to the incident.
