A REPEAT sex pest, who indecently touched a teenage girl and made sexual comments to a woman, both travelling on buses, is to be assessed as a potential "dangerous" offender.
Jeffery Khan was made subject of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order after a previous conviction, at Newcastle Crown Court, on October 20, 2017.
But he was back in crown court, this time at Durham, after admitting sexually assaulting a woman in a Morrisons supermarket, in Hartlepool, on June 21, putting him in breach of the order, at a hearing in August.
He also admitted assault by beating, plus harassment, including making comments of a sexual nature, to another woman, a stranger, travelling on buses in Durham, in February and March.
Khan, 49, of Coronation Avenue, Blackhall Colliery, was back in court yesterday, when he admitted further charges of sexually assault on a woman and sexual activity with a child, a 14-year-old girl, travelling on buses in Durham, on June 13 and 16.
These also put him in breach of the 2017 order.
Judge Christopher Prince told the scheduled sentencing hearing he had concerns over comments in a psychiatric assessment of the defendant in which he told the author he did not want to give up alcohol, even though all his offences were said to have been committed when he was in drink.
The judge suggested a further assessment of Khan might be sought by his defence lawyers to address the issue of whether he should be sentenced as a "dangerous" offender, which would affect his ultimate sentence.
Khan was remanded to remain in custody pending the potential further assessment.
