The Clarendon Road closure is causing problems for commuters heading to and from Watford Junction.
Part of the road near the train station is shut to install a footbridge between two of TJX Europe's HQ buildings.
Although the work has been timed to take place during the half-term holidays, unsurprisingly, it is causing traffic delays.

During this morning's rush hour (Monday), queues tailed back down Woodford Road, Orphanage Road, and Radlett Road.
The only access out of the station and area is Station Road to the junction of St Albans Road.
Buses and taxis have been caught up in the disruption too.

Woodford Road and Station Road have been at a standstill for most of the day, and it is going to get a lot busier again during the evening rush hour.
The advice is if you do need to get to Watford Junction by car or taxi this week, get dropped off or picked up as near as possible but try and not use the station drop-off car parks. Avoid Woodford Road and Station Road if possible.
Previous story: Major work to shut Clarendon Road for a week
If you do need to go to the station, then leave as much extra time as possible to travel.
Clarendon Road is shut between Shady Lane and Station Road. Traffic is being diverted via St John's Road and Woodford Road.
There is still pedestrian access.
The closure, which came into force on Saturday, is scheduled to be in place until Saturday lunchtime (November 2).
Anyone using Watford Junction is reminded that all of the lifts at the station are now out of order until February 2020. To find out more about this and what provisions are being put in place, click here.
